On a night to forget for young Keeper Dean Santangelo Bromley were well beaten by a solid Woking side who went top with this win.
The game started in open and entertaining fashion with Bromley edging in front on 4mins when a woefully short back pass by Derek Duncan was intercepted by Hakeem Araba who coolly slotted the ball past the stranded Woking Keeper Andy Little.
The visitors then went on to dominate the half as Bromley sat ever deeper with Santangelo saving from Dale Binns & Moses Ademola before eventually The Cards equalised on 37mins when Ademola’s fierce shot beat Santangelo at his near post for 1-1.
Just before the break Santangelo was on hand to make a fine save from a Jack King free kick to keep it level at the half.
The second half was barely 3mins old when Wayne Gray put Woking in front cashing in on hesitancy from Santangelo who was caught stranded way out of position. Gray shot wide soon after and Paris Cowan-Hall had a goal ruled out for offside as the visitors continued to press.
Mark Goldberg then made a triple substitution on the hour and it seemed to have worked when Leon McKenzie latched on to a long ball and lobbed Little on 66mins to draw the scores back to 2-2.
Sadly for Bromley the parity only lasted until 78mins when Ademola pounced on another error by Santangelo who was awol in his area again. The final Woking goal came on 85mins, Santangelo made a great save and Joe Dolan blocked one on the line before Elvis Hammond smashed in an unstoppable shot t make it 2-4 and kill off The Ravens resistance.
With Bromley now having conceded eight in two games this will need to be addressed before Welling come to Hayes Lane on the next two Saturdays in league & FA Cup.
